For some pets, fewer walks during lockdown has lead to them gaining some unwanted extra weight. Just like in humans, extra weight gain puts a strain on organs such as the heart and lungs, and especially their joints. Autumn hazards!

As we get out and about more in the wake of the Covid – 19 crisis, it’s worth being aware of some of the hazards facing our pets this season. Please take extra care if you keep antifreeze in your garage or shed, this sweet tasting liquid is extremely toxic to pets, causing kidney failure and often death.

Firework Fright!

Whilst so much has changed over the past couple of months following the pandemic, we have no doubt that the fireworks season will continue to plague the life of many pets at this time of year.
