Handling The Heat!
The summer is well and truly here so we’ve put together some tips to keep your pet fit and well at this time of year, click here to read our top pet tips.
The heat can be a real killer for many pets and for this reason it’s a good idea to walk dogs early morning or late in the evening and don’t forget about your small furries. Rabbits and guinea pigs need to kept in the shade, a frozen tile or covered frozen water bottle can help keep their temperatures down during the really hot days. Read our beat the heat tips here.
If you have an indoor pets – hamsters, gerbils and chinchillas – don’t forget to make sure their cage is out of direct sunlight or close the curtains during the daytime to keep the heat out.
