Gunnersbury Park Dog Show.
We were incredibly honoured to be asked to attend Gunnersbury Park Dog Show, on Sunday 2nd June 2019. Our team took to the beautiful sunshine of West London and ran an ‘Ask The Vet’ stand at the dog show. The FREE, yes free, event was a complete sell out success! The idea of having a dog show at the park all stemmed from the story of a cheeky Chihuahua Rocky. Click here to read the story of Rocky and how the event began.
We would like to shout out to Jen Rock, who invited us and was the mastermind behind the event, plus her team of volunteers who worked hard to ensure the show ran smoothly all day.
Our Stand
included a Doggy Ball Pit, hidden underneath the balls were some tasty treats to entice the more shy four legged visitors – this enrichment game invited wagging tails from dogs of all shapes and sizes. With their noses firmly pressed to the bottom of the pool, balls were flying everywhere ensuring no tasty treats were left un-eaten! We also had a Doggy Paddling Pool which was a hive of activity with all the different breeds taking turns having a refreshing dip in the cool water. Have a look below for just a few pictures of the beautiful dogs that popped in to say hi! We were also giving away doggy poo bags – you can never have too many of them! Plus personalized dog leads – ensuring you always have our number with you in the event of a dog emergency and if that wasn’t enough everyone who took a picture of their dog at our stand and tagged us on Facebook received a voucher for 20 % off a Seresto Collar. These collars kill fleas and ticks before they bite your pet, they offer effective protection for up to 8 months PLUS they are water-proof – great for all those paddling pooches!
‘Ask The Vet’
Dr Clara Blanco ‘The Vet’ is a familiar face with many of our Chiswick and Ealing clients, she was on hand to answer lots of dog health questions. From tick troubles to anxiety issues, all the visitors to our stand received great advice from our vet. We also gave away vouchers for 50% off a consultation for your dog in the month of June, available to use at any of our four West London surgeries.
Laura Mcmanamon – Registered Veterinary Nurse
Our qualified nurse Laura was also on hand to answer all the doggy questions that were being asked. Her pockets were bursting with free treats for all of our four legged friends, especially the ones who were having a blast in the ball pit and pool! Laura started with us as a student and has worked hard within our Ealing team to qualify and become a registered veterinary nurse. THANK YOU
to everyone, with both two and four legs that dropped in to say hi. We hope your day was as fun filled as ours! Here’s a few of the pictures that we took of just some of the gorgeous visitors we met at the event and don’t forget to Tag Us on Facebook if you haven’t already, for your Seresto Collar vouchers. We hope to see you all next year!
