This is a privacy statement for www.youngvets.co.uk we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This is taken very seriously and we are dedicated to handling your information in a secure and responsible manner in accordance with the general data protection regulation (GDPR).

By using our the Young Veterinary Partnership surgeries, you understand and agree that personal data you provide to us will be held on a data base created for us and the system will be operated by us and/or selected other third parties.

We will always do our best to protect your personal data, but we cannot guarantee the security of your data; any transmission is at your own risk. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Once we have your data, we will use passwords and security features to try and prevent unauthorised access.

Changes to our policies –

We may from time to time change our privacy policy and terms and conditions without notification to yourself, to ensure you are kept up to date with these please check this privacy policy any time you enter our website or surgery. All updates will be posted on this page, and if appropriate, you will be notified by email.

Adverts, marketing and external links –

We may send you by email, sms and/or post, details on your pets product reminders, services that we offer, newsletters and products we feel may be of interest to you. Should you prefer not to be contacted in any way please inform us immediately and we will be able to amend your record accordingly. We may on occasion record our telephone calls to ensure our quality standards are maintained. Our websites may have external links to other websites, partner websites and advertisers. If you follow a link to a different website from our own, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these sites and they will have their own privacy policies and terms and conditions. Please check the policies before you submit any personal data.

Your rights

You have a number of rights relating to your personal information, which are as follows:

  • The right to be informed about how your personal information is used, most of which is within this notice.
  • The right to access personal information we hold about you, there is no charge for this service. We will supply all information within 30 days of your request.
  • We request that you rectify any incorrect personal information we hold about you. This request can be made by either face to face, via email or telephone with our reception team.
  • The right to request that we delete your data, stop processing it or collecting it in some circumstances.
  • The right to stop or request only certain marketing messages, or practice information messages, please discuss your preferences with our reception team. You can change your preferences at any time. 
  • The right to portability where we transfer elements of your personal information to you or another practice.

How long we keep your information

We will keep your data securely within our systems until you request changes or removal. If you cease to continue with our services we will turn off all communications methods but we will keep data to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, obtain payments due for services, prevent fraud and abuse and to enforce our terms and conditions. 

You can contact us if you no longer wish to be a client and our reception team will deactivate your account.
