Microchips
Microchips are the size of a grain of rice and are placed quickly and easily by injection just under the skin. They can protect your precious pet against loss or theft and can be easily read by a scanner through the fur. Local vet surgeries play a vital role in reuniting worried owners with their pets on the rare occasions they become separated from one another. Equally if you do find a lost animal please do bring it into the surgery and if microchipped we will do our best to help it find it’s way home.
From April 2016 it is a legal requirement that all dogs are microchipped and their details are kept up to date and June 2024 all cats over the age of 20 weeks are legally required to be microchipped and registered with a database.
Microchipping is a quick procedure that can be done easily in a normal appointment for both cats and dogs, contact our friendly team today to book your cats chipping procedure.
